Melbourne born artist HOWe is propelled by a passion to protect indigenous wildlife and habitat.  HOWe’s art draws inspiration from unique landscapes, creatures and culture.

His works feature a distinct graphic style of rhythmic lines, sculptural shapes, abstract patterns and vibrant hues. Aiming to inspire and educate communities to connect with country, embrace diversity and sustainability.

HOWe signature works include his iconic wild dog, wild parrots, radiating sun, swirling moon, rivers, waves, connective spiritual landscapes and narrative symbolism.

HOWe contemporary artwork ranges from large commissioned public sculpture and street murals to drawing, painting and printmaking collected by locally and internationally.

HOWe Wild Dog Studio

HOWe Wild Dog Studio is located on Wurundjeri-willam country accessed by appointment only or during the Banyule Open Studios event next one schedule in April 2022 (details closer to event will be posted up).

Visiting the studio you embark on an artistic journey – wandering past hand made iron gates, giant boulders, dry creek bed, carved timbers & wharf posts, river stone mosaics, indigenous fauna & flora (resident chooks & bees) and a collection of large sculptures. Reflecting sustainability HOWe works feature locally sourced, recycled and repurposed materials. HOWe studio is a rustic ongoing creation built originally in the early 60’s contains inside his vibrant paintings, small sculptures and illustrated works.

HOWe Melbourne studio is a stone’s throw from the World famous Heidelberg School, Heidi & Montsalvat artist colonies and Birrarung River.
